FILM REVIEW
'Superstars in Concert' Mostly really cool stuff here. Ike and Tina are probably the best part. There's also some bad stuff, but you can heat up leftovers or check your email during those parts.
It's come out in Japan on laserdisc, bootlegged in Malaysia and used for promotional use, but now it's been uploaded to metacafe with only 3,000 views. VERY RARE. If you got a joint and an hour and a half to spare, you should check it out.

'15 VIBES
My boy Eugene introduced me to William Onyeabor the other night. His stuff is pretty wild. And damn these songs are LOOOONNNNGGG!!!
Although he challenges my attention span there's still something to it.
Onyeabor is from Nigeria. He has always avoided interviews and not much is known about him. He even claims to have never played live. He put out 8 records between '77 and '85 and then quit music to spend more time going to church and taking care of business.
His business ventures have done well since his music career. In Enugu, Nigeria he's got his own flour mill, gas station and internet cafe. Our guy is makin' money and lives in a sick mansion!!!
David Byrne recently reissued his records causing the resale of original pressings to sky rocket. One of his records (Body & Soul) goes for $650 online. I hope he kept a couple copies.
